 Le Maitre were contacted to supply a pyrotechnic waterfall and massive glitter hit for the video of Starsailor’s new track “Keep Us Together”.
The video was filmed in an old abandoned cinema, and a 40ft Waterfall was rigged using 3 sets of 20x20 Silver Cascades. The Silver Cascades are Le Maitre’s new and improved waterfall effect gerbs which are much bushier than previous waterfall gerbs. This allowed them to be placed 900mm apart, and fewer cascades were needed to achieve the effect. This helped to minimise the amount of smoke in the old cinema, and meant that it was shot in only 3 takes as the smoke didn't hinder the rest of the shoot or the singer.
The glitter hit was created using 2 of Le Maitre’s Turbo Confetti Blowers that are operated via carbon dioxide. Masses of gold glitter were fired all over the band.
There were also a few extra mini explosions around the set at different intervals in the shoot, these were achieved with Goldenstar and Theatrical Flash from the Pyroflash range. When shooting in a high pressure environment where reload times can be only a few seconds, the Pyroflash system is extremely effective.
